Why and how to create an olfactory signature?

Creating a tailor-made olfactory signature is a way to forge a unique link between a brand, a place and its customers. From a brief, Julie is inspired by the DNA of the place, the values and symbols of the brand as well as the personality of its owner. Once she has captured the essence of the place, she carries out several essays with all her sensitivity and know-how.

Having your own olfactory signature allows you to offer your customers a pleasant and unforgettable sensory experience. A unique perfume reinforces the universe of the brand and creates an emotional commitment, an affective bond.

Thanks to its olfactory power, it makes the customer experience emotionally richer. It is a creative and sensory way to tell your story and to provoke (or arouse) emotions and feelings of well-being and pleasure.

A perfume is not only smelled, it is also felt. Of all the senses, smell is the only one that communicates directly with areas of the brain related to emotions and memory. Indeed, smell is a sensory perception connected directly to the amygdala and olfactory bulb, the areas of our brain that create and fix memories, and store emotions. The olfactory memory is the oldest of our memories since it appears from an early age. Thanks to neuroscience, we know that olfactory memory is more powerful than visual or auditory memory. Taste signatures

From nose to mouth

As an extension of her activity as a creative perfumer, Julie has also become a culinary nose. From olfactory perfume to food perfume, there is only one creative step! Quosentis works with chefs, pastry chefs and mixologists (the art of mixing drinks and creating cocktails). These taste signatures are used to sublimate a dish, a dessert or a drink. They also make it possible to weave a unique taste link between a brand, a place and its customers.

To realize her culinary signatures, Julie starts either from a concrete idea (for example a flower, a fruit or a cocktail) or from an abstract idea (personality of the chef, DNA of a place, work of art…). Its culinary flavors are available in desserts, dishes, juices, cocktails, ice creams, alcohols, etc. It uses 100% natural extracts. The creation of taste signatures requires sensitivity, creativity, subtlety and balance.

Example of a taste signature: a bouquet of flowers and herbs evoking the Côte d'Azur, served on a pear juice.

A little explanation:

The taste is multisensory. What is at stake during a tasting is not just a matter of taste buds, but a more complex experience, which brings together three different messages: olfactory, gustatory and trigeminal.
